Panda Update – SEO Google Update

People have had a misconception in their minds that “Google” does not want websites to get good rankings, during the last month an update was released which was called the “Panda” update for Google’s algorithm. The update was targeted at decreasing the value of content farms present online and by content farm I don’t mean only Blogs, Stuffing of content in a website and replicating content throughout the website. Though in the SEO world it did became a blast when all of a sudden an update came which affected all the websites rankings out of which a major share was of B2B portals and Blogs that have been there for a long time.

In my perception Google is a product and the value of that product comes up from the websites being promoted online on the Search Engine, until and unless the websites are getting organic traffic through searches the need for Google can never diminish. So in this case why would Google want to lose the users it has by just releasing an update which would harm rankings of a million websites.

So let’s just have a look at it from a positive point of view as to what was the purpose of the update.

Maybe it was just pointed towards the fact that usage of Blogs had became very essential for every site to increase pages and content, Google was ranking small sites low because of less pages and less internal links and last but not the least the internal links being created within the website were getting more priority then external links… this is just an assumption from my end. It can always be wrong because to have a proper answer I will need to join “Google” P.S: my dream job :)

I am also one of the people whose clients are not satisfied with the update, but my suggestion to everyone who are out there and listening to me say would be that there are always good and bad days… but the person who handles the issue properly would be able to solve any problem.

Yes Usman you are right . Most of the giant sites/portals are doing the content farming. now they loose their rankings after the release of Google Panda Algo.
